I have occasionally been asked by friends what they should wear to a job interview. Specifically, they like to know how much [if any] fashion flair they can show when meeting with a potential employer. I happen to think a little flair goes a long way. Expressing your fashion inclinations is not only a great way to show your personality but it will help you stand out from the row of candidates in black suits and plain dresses.
Let’s go through a work/interview appropriate look with some fashionable touches.
1. Pick a dress/suit with pops of color and/or pattern. I chose a light weight Alex Marie dress that is perfect spring/summer. It is a classic cut dress in a shade of coral with white lace detailing. Although there is color and a lot of lace, notice that it’s not “too much.”

Ocasionalmente mis amigos me han preguntado como deberían vestir para a una entrevista de trabajo. A kitten heel is perfectly office appropriate. If you’re vertically challenged or just live in heels, I would recommend a chunkier heel. No sky-high stilettos or crazy platforms.

Having a well-made structured bag will give off an air of sophistication that can translate to professionalism. No totes or very worn bags. You want to look put together. If your bag is a mess, it can make you look like a mess. And no one wants to hire a mess.
