I spent a lovely afternoon walking along the muddy waters of the Mississippi here in New Orleans. In this Outfit of the Day post, I’ll share what I wore on a casual day out in the Big Easy.
I’m wearing this great little brown dress by Desigual. Desigual is one of my favorite Spanish brands to cross over to the US market. This dress features the brand’s signature prints in shades of brown and creams, much like the famous NOLA café au lait.
Desigual’s bold prints and color combinations makes it a very recognizable brand. Their pieces are one of my favorite things to wear when I don’t want to be a wallflower.
This dress comes with the added bonus of being a panel dress. Panel dresses are super figure-flaterring, which is very welcome after big holiday feasts. Since it can get a little chilly walking along the river, I’m also wearing a brown August Silk cardigan and black opaque tights by HUE.
I love my new Michael Kors riding boots. I bought them for a great deal at Nordstrom Rack. They’re 50/50 style, made with brown leather and a brown nylon-like stretchy material. It also features gold hardware.
