I’m wearing a Leslie Fay panel dress with black fabric that runs down the sides of this blue dress. Panel dresses are very slimming because they trick the eye by making you look longer and leaner.
I also love the pleating of the black fabric on the shoulder. Not to mention the way the black material runs along the front and back of the shoulder, leaving the tops of the shoulders blue. It’s details like these that really make a seemingly simple dress very interesting.
I’m also wearing my silver Marc Jacobs watch to ensure I get to work and any scheduled events on time. I’ve paired it with some silver and blue Alex and Ani bracelets. Accessories like these are a great way to jazz up any boring office look.
To ensure I’m able to work and commute comfortably, I’m wearing these Kenneth Cole Reaction kitten heels. They’re mary janes (my favorite!) with a low heel so that my feet won’t kill me after a long day. In my opinion, kitten heels are always just a tad more sophisticated than a plain flat shoe. Although, I do enjoy wearing both for work.
