Sweater: c/o Old Navy // Jeans: The Limited // Skirt: Zara // Shoes: Beverly Feldman

Today’s holiday sweaters aren’t your typical cheesy or “ugly” sweaters. No. They are stylish, classic and dazzle in a not so blatant kind of way. My favorite holiday sweater of the moment is this one by Old Navy.

Sparkles say holiday to me. But instead of wearing some gaudy piece of clothing, why not go for a solid colored sweater with some embellishments? Old Navy has created this classic sweatshirt with a modern twist.

The fit is slightly fitted and with a crew neck collar. It is embellished with a faux jewel bib sewn across the front of the collar. This adds the perfect amount of holiday sparkle to any outfit.

For an outfit of the day look, I’ve paired the sweatshirt with skinny jeans from The Limited. I also kept the gray and sparkly theme going with this pair of Beverly Feldman metallic peep-toe flats.

I love the metallic faux snakeskin look of these shoes. And how beautiful are the crystals on the top of the shoes. I think they compliment my new sweater beautifully. All of these elements combined give this a sophisticated casual feel to the outfit.

As an outfit of the night, I swapped the jeans for an A-line wool skirt from Zara. It’s also gray and the wool goes well with this warm and cozy holiday outfit look.

I really enjoy monotoned looks sometimes and this gray is a comfortable step away from the usual all-black or all-white look.  I kept my metallic flats on this evening so that I could walk around New Orleans comfortably after a night at the theatre.

I kept my makeup simple and neutral, embellishing it only with a winged liner and fire engine red lips. This one is my favorite lip stain – Sephora’s Always Red.
