Winter Bleu

Coat: Miss Sixty // Sweater: Old Navy // Leggings: Hue // Boots: Ugg Australia // Shawl: Louis Vuitton // Ring: Margaret Elizabeth via RocksBox
Winter has been brutal in New York City. It’s made dressing [and photographing!] in cute winter outfits quite difficult. Seriously. But here is a simple Winter Outfit of the Day you can easily recreate at home with a few staple pieces.

The number one thing I believe everyone should have is a great, warm wool coat. This one is by Miss Sixty.  It’s a double breasted coat with added warmth thanks to the faux zippered sweater attached to the interior of the coat.

My favorite thing about this coat is the silver stitching. It’s such a great detail and really makes the coat standout. I also love the silver hardware, including the zippers on the sleeves. It definitely give this wool coat a little touch of bad-a$$ness.
An all-year-round wardrobe staple are leggings. This great pair of dark denim leggings is by Hue. Hue is one of the best hosiery and legging companies [and my personal favorite]. I have a ton of their products and cannot recommend them more.

Sweaters! Sweaters! Sweaters! You can never have enough sweaters! This adorable initial sweater is by Old Navy. It’s a very casual sweater but you dress it up by adding a great, fancy scarf and fun accessories. The J perfectly matches the Margaret Elizabeth ring I purchased from my latest RocksBox delivery.

Speaking of scarves…here is my very first Louis Vuitton Denim Shawl in Bleu.  I purchased it preloved (and in fabulous condition) from Fashionphile. You can watch my unboxing of it here.

The scarf is super warm and absolutely huge! You can wear it in so many different ways because of it. I’m wearing it here in a “cowboy” style. I’ve folded it into a triangle and draped it across my chest, letting the ends fall to my side. It’s my favorite way to wear it.

It’s difficult to find snow boots that are both functional and fashionable. Luckily, I found these navy Ugg boots. They’re very warm and quite comfy thanks to the chunky heel. I’m also a big fan of the distressed leather look. They have been very versatile this winter.

Finally, I’m keeping my makeup neutral and classic. I’ve added a pop of red through my lipstick and nail polish. I’m wearing A-List by Essie and Always Red Lip Stain by Sephora. I find that the pops of red look really great against the blues of this outfit of the day.
