Carnival Sunrise

Carnival Cruise invited me to the renaming of one of their ships last week- the Carnival Sunrise! This was the first time I had ever stepped on a cruise ship and I am now obsessed with the idea of going on a cruise!

This ship is absolutely beautiful. The entire ship looks incredibly elegant and there are “Instagrammable” moments everywhere. And I still can’t get over how large the ship is. There about 10 floors (that I can recall) which houses restaurants, bars, a spa, a theatre, a casino, a gym, an upper deck with a pool and water slides, and so much more. I think you can probably get about 3 or more vacations worth just on this one ship!

A wonderful part of the actual naming ceremony was the introduction and induction of the ship’s godmother, Kelly Arison. She is the daughter of Carnival Corporation & plc Chairman Micky Arison and his wife Madeleine. It was very sweet to see the story behind the carnival Cruise family and watch Kelly continue in her family’s footsteps by becoming the godmother of this amazing ship.

Another great moment was the announcement of a $50,000 donation to the Ehlers-Danlos Society, an organization dedicated to serving those with joint hypermobility spectrum disorders.

After the ceremony we enjoyed a delicious lunch and it left me more than curious about what other yummy dishes the Carnival Sunrise has to offer. See more of what I see on the Carnival Sunrise in my Instagram Stories.

Have you ever been on a Carnival Cruise? Let me know about your experience.
