New York Fall

Coat: Altuzarra for Target // Pants: Denizen // Top: Bill Blass New York // Sweater: Pink Rose // Boots: Coach // Bag: Longchamp // Makeup: Mac Cosmetics
I’m a true New Yorker in many ways – I don’t drive, I know neighborhoods by their ethnic food of choice, I can get myself into any subway car no matter how full it is and I love dressing in black. Now that autumn is here, I thought I’d give you a glimpse of a typical fall outfit of the day you’d see on the streets of New York City.
It’s no secret. New York City can be tough. That’s why the ladies of this town need equally resilient gear for the season. Here, I’m wearing the Altuzarra for Target black trench coat. This is by far one of the best pieces from a designer collaboration in a very long time…maybe ever.
A classic trench coat is a must in everyone’s closet. But having one that has some unique features is a win-win. This one is textured and has a subtle python print. It also has a full skirt for an added feminine touch.
Underneath the coat is a simple but versatile autumn look. I’m wearing black skinny jeans from Target and a black cotton top by Bill Blass. The top actually has a rectangular collar, which I thought was great under this cardigan.
This is my favorite cardigan. This retro Pink Rose sweater features a black and white gingham pattern. The collar is also very reminiscent of decades past with its deep, round collar. I also fins the small pockets on the bottom super adorable.
The accessories for New York City women must also be durable to withstand the conditions of this urban jungle. This is gray leather Longchamp cross body bag. I absolutely love this bag and have worn it for quite a while. I love that it has multiple pockets to fit everything from my cellphones (yes, I have two!), metro cards, makeup, iPad and everything in between for my day-to-day.

These boots are a very recent purchase. I murdered my Sam Edelman boots and it was time for a new pair. These black leather rider boots are by Coach. They’re perfect for walk on a rainy days or even an afternoon of apple picking. I know because I did both this past weekend!

I’m debuting my one of my new lipsticks in this post – FrankNFurter by MAC. This lipstick is from the limited-edition Rocky Horror Picture Show collection. It’s a deep raspberry wine color that is perfect for the Fall.
