Swimsuit: Pinup Girl Clothing // Hat: Prima Donna // Sandals: c/o Havaianas // Sunglasses: Fendi // Jewelry: Prima Donna
The 4th of July weekend is usually the first time my family is able to make it to the beach during the summer. This summer tradition continued when we went to one of my favorite New York beaches this past Saturday – Robert Moses State Park in Long Island.
For this celebratory weekend, I chose to wear my patriotic swimsuit from PinUp Girl Clothing.
There are many things that I love about this swimsuit. The cut and style gives this bikini a big retro feel. And you all know how much I love retro fashion.
This swimsuit is not only reminiscent of the United States Flag, thanks to the color scheme and stripes, but the anchors on the buttons also make this a great nautical look – something else that makes me think of 1940s americana.
This cut is also quite figure flattering and comfortable to wear for the curvier ladies. Don’t think you have to weigh 100lbs to wear a bikini on the beach. No. This swimsuit provides coverage in an adorable pinup look.
Finally, just because you’re going to frolic in the sand and ocean doesn’t mean you can’t bring great accessories with you! Here I’m sporting my fabulous new Prima Donna multi strand necklace and link bracelet.
I also took my new Brazil-inspired Havaianas flip flops and inflatable pillow, Prima Donna hat and my vibrant Desigual towel.
Did you make it to the beach this 4th of July weekend? Tell me about your favorite USA themed outfit of the day you saw or wore this year.
