There’s only one thing a lady should wear on a Sunday in the South – a white seersucker dress. Seersucker is a classic cotton fabric that is commonly worn in Southern states due to their light-weight breathability during scorching summers.
On this warm Sunday in New Orleans, I wore a white Seersucker dress by London Times. As I mentioned in my previous Outfit of the Day post, I love to wear white dress that have a few details that make the dress stand out. This dress is no exception.
The skirt is pleated giving it a fuller look. This is a classic cut for a classic summer dress.
My favorite detail of this dress is the cut-out in the back. The straps that fall over the shoulders are held together by a delicate-looking single button on the back of my neck. This was a much appreciated detail when the temperature rose. I loved having some air blow directly on my back as I walked around the French Quarter. The top also has some lace stitched across the collar of the dress.
Because I’m wearing an all white dress, I love adding a pop of color through my accesses. My pop of color comes from this beautiful GiGi New York All-in-One full-grained embossed python leather clutch in the color Iris. This clutch may seem small but it actually holds ton. Shall I do a What’s In My Bag video with this one? I purchased the exquisite bracelet above from a vendor in NOLA’s French Market.
These Circus by Sam Edelman sandals are one of the nicest sandals I’ve seen in stores (and I’ve been in a few). I knew I had to have them the moment I saw them. They’re nude braided leather straps that look like rope, held together with gold hard wear. These gladiator sandals are super comfortable and stylish at the same time. I call the a win-win!
