Channeling Audrey

Top: Max Azria // Skirt: c/o Modcloth // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Sunglasses: Prada // Earrings: My Pacific Pearls

When you ask women who their style icons are, Audrey Hepburn is a name you’ll frequently hear. Who can forget the image of Audrey standing on 5th Avenue in a Givenchy dress in Breakfast at Tiffany’s? Let’s not forget that simple yet chic white button down shirt and full skirt she wore in Roman Holiday.

I’m channeling the stylish muse in this outfit of the day. You can see it with my full skirt and large black glasses as well as my pulled back hair in a ponytail (I’m just missing Audrey’s signature bangs).

The black long-sleeve top is by Max Azria. The material is soft and super comfortable. It’s cut in a deep V which beautifully frames the chest and shows off the collar bone. The top also featured a knot design giving it an additional chic detail.

The bottom is the Essential Elegance Skirt by Modcloth. I love Modcloth’s pieces because, although they are a retro/vintage-reproduction brand, many of their products are timeless. You can wear them without looking costumey  because the silhouettes are classic. This skirt is one of my favorites and I always get compliments whenever I wear I wear it.

The skirt is a full circle midi skirt in a bold red. This shape has been a huge trend as of late but I feel you could always wear a piece like this regardless of what’s being shown on the runways. Wouldn’t you agree?

I’m wearing these gorgeous Christian Louboutin pumps. They belong to my mother and were dyed black (originally a light color) some years ago. They feature thick textured ribbons that crisscross on the front of the shoe and around the edge. The curved heel gives it a 16th Century Parisian feel. I’m currently selling these in my Poshmark closet here (they’re 36.5). Feel free to ask me any questions about the shoes if you’re interested.

I topped the look off by adding large Audrey Hepburn-style sunglasses. These are by Prada. I also added some pearl earrings for an added retro touch.
