Golden Textures

Top: J.J. Basics // Pants: 7 For All Mankind // Boots: Prima Donna // Earrings: ℅ Noonday Collections // Ring: Lucas Jack via RocksBox ℅ Poshmark // Bracelets: ℅ Julie Vos & ℅ Charming Charlie

After seeing the amazing fashion in Catching Fire, I ran to my nearest TJ Maxx to pick up a few Katniss-like sweaters. I loved this J.J.Basics knit sweater the moment I saw it. It is in light shades of cream and gold. The back is entirely crocheted (I’m wearing a white tank underneath for modesty) and there are crocheted panels under the shoulders at the front. The hem falls lower at the back than the front. Details like these immediately drew me to this piece and I knew I had to have it.

I paired this sweater with tan corduroy pants by 7 For All Mankind. One of my favorite things to do when dressing up in the fall is mixing textures. Fall is the perfect season for doing this because we’re already dressing in layers for the cooler weather. Here I’m mixing corduroy, knit, crochet and some faux suede.

These booties are from Prima Donna. I first featured them in my Fall to Winter Essentials post. As I imagined the minute I saw them, they are a staple in wardrobe this season. They’re comfortable and very stylish with its studded belts and tan shade.
I’ve kept my makeup simple with just a little bareMinerals foundation along with my new CoverGirl Lipsticks Smoochies Sizzle Gloss in 546 Turn Up The Heat from the Capitol Collection. In the photo above you can see my pair of Noonday Collection earrings. Noonday is an company that sells handmade jewelry from artisans from around the world. They’re all paid a living wage and are given a path out of poverty. Proceeds from sales also go toward placing orphans with loving families. Look great and feel even better by knowing each piece you own helps others around the globe. Take a better look at my earrings here.

I’m doing a bit of the high-low comcept here with my bracelets. On one hand, I’m wearing a Charming Charlie‘s Mix Master bracelet that features 5 gold-toned chains on a white faux leather strap. It retails for just $15. On the other hand, I’m wearing Julie Vos‘ Medici bracelet. This gold-toned bracelet features oval moonstones and labradorites hand-set in 24k gold bezels. It’s as exquisite as the name would imply, which is why I featured in my Ladies Gift Guide last week.

I’m also wearing a wonderful Lucas Jack ring which I received in my RocksBox subscription. RocksBox is a subscription based program where you receive 3 pieces of jewelry based on your personality profile. Once you’ve worn your pieces, you can either return it or purchase what you loved before receiving another 3 pieces of jewelry in the mail. Think of it like Netflix but with stunning jewelry!
