Ragdoll in New Orleans’ infamous French Quarter is one of my favorite stores. Period. Owned by Rachel Roberts, Ragdoll has become one of the shops I visit every single time I’m in town. Although their previous location on Magazine Street was larger, they did not lose an inch of what makes this store a one stop shop for wannabe pinups like myself.
Ragdoll has a great variety of vintage and vintage reproduction pieces at very affordable prices. Dresses, shoes, separates, accessories…you name it. They have it. They even sell organic beauty products right by the register!
Ragdoll is the only place I know that holds both authentic vintage items AND brand new retro items. This is a big treat for those of us who like to mix the old with the new. Every corner of their new location is filled with beautiful garments, quirky decorations, adorable accessories and so much personality. I certainly enjoy walking slowly through the space and seeing everything they have to offer.
Another thing I love about Ragdoll is their instagram acccount. Every few days, they post Outfits of the Day using the items they’re currently selling at the store. This isn’t just a photo of a dress here and there. No. These are totally complete looks that include jewelry, shoes, handbags, etc. Follow their instagram here.
If there is one piece of crucial information I can leave you with, it’s this: DO NOT miss Ragdoll’s sale rack. Ragdoll en el famoso barrio francés de Nueva Orleans es una de mis tiendas favoritas. Punto. Propiedad de Rachel Roberts, Ragdoll se ha convertido en una de las tiendas que visito cada vez que estoy en la ciudad. Aunque su ubicación anterior en Magazine Street era más grande, no perdieron un centímetro de lo que hace esta tienda única para los pinup aspirantes como yo.
Ragdoll tiene una gran variedad de piezas antigüas y de reproducción de época a precios muy asequibles. Vestidos, zapatos, accesorios … lo que sea. Ellos lo tienen. Incluso venden productos de belleza orgánicos junto a la caja registradora!
Ragdoll es el único lugar que conozco que tiene artículos vendimia auténticos y nuevos artículos retro. Este es un gran placer para aquellos de nosotros que les gusta mezclar lo viejo con lo nuevo. Cada rincón de su nueva ubicación está llena de hermosas prendas, decoraciones peculiares, accesorios adorables y mucha personalidad. Yo personalmente disfruto caminando lentamente por el espacio y ver todo lo que tienen para ofrecer.
Otra cosa que me encanta de Ragdoll es su cuenta de instagram. Cada pocos días, ellos publican Trajes del Día con los artículos que actualmente están vendiendo en la tienda. Esto no es sólo una foto de un vestido de aquí y allá. No. Son trajes totalmente completos que incluyen joyas, zapatos, bolsos, etc Siga su página de instagram aquí.
Si hay un dato importante que les puede dejar, es lo siguiente: No te pierdas las ventas de Ragdoll. Los adorable pantalones cortos en la foto de arriba son sólo $20 y me encontré los pantalones blancos de arriba por sólo $10. La camisa también es de la tienda.
