Dark Beauty Fall Look

Poncho: Old Navy // Top: Unknown // Jeans: Old Navy // Boots: Gianni Bini via Dillard’s // Jewelry Perry Street, Gorjana and House of Harlow via RocksBox // Makeup: Becca and Kat Von D

The weather is getting chilly in New York City so I’ve been wearing one of my favorite trends almost nonstop – ponchos and capes. They’re not only fashionable but super functional since they can really keep you warm on cooler days.

In this Outfit of the Day post, I’m letting my inner goth (okay, not really) show with this dark black-on-black-on-black look. If there’s one thing New York fashion is known for, it’s use of black clothing. Am I right?

The main piece of this look is definitely this poncho from Old Navy. It’s a black fleece, so it keeps me warm when I’m running around in the city. It is white and gray stripes that create a large checkered pattern.

I wore it the a simple black thermal top underneath to keep me warm when the breeze picks up.

I can’t tell you how easy and comfortable this look is. You can wear it shop, have dinner or to run around and do errands. It’s a no brainer and the fact the pieces are super affordable also doesn’t hurt.

Speaking of affordable, can you believe I picked up these jeans for less than $20 at Old Navy!? The quality is great. I love the super skinny fit. They’re also very stretchy so you can move around in them with great ease. And, since they’re so economical, you can pick up several pairs and don’t have to stress about ruining them. That is a huge plus for busy moms like me.

I paired this look with one of my favorite pairs of boots. They are knee-high boots by Gianni Bini that I picked up from Dillard’s. I love that they’re made with leather and stretchy material in the back, for a nice fitted look for your legs. They’re similar to the Stuart Weitzman 50/50 boots for a fraction of the price.

I jazzed up this look with the pieces I received in a recent RocksBox delivery. I loved the House of Harlow stud earring set and couldn’t wait to put them on. Thanks to my multiple piercings, I was able to wear two sets at one time. Score! The necklace is by Perry Street and the gold interlocking cuff is by Gorjana. I kept the dark theme going with my makeup. I’m using a Kat Von D liquid lipstick in the color Vampire. I adore this blood red shade. I kept my eyes neutral with eyeshadows from my Becca Ombre Rouge Palette and CIRCA Beauty Fade to Black liquid eye liner.
