Soaking Up the Sun

Dress: Antonio Melani // Shoes: Lucky Brand // Bag: Tory Burch // Watch: Marc Jacobs // Jewelry: RocksBox
The Sun has been out and warming up New York City for the last several days. And, as many places that have been deprived of nice weather for very stretches of time, New Yorkers are taking every chance they get to soak up the Sun.

Last weekend, my husband and I went to Astoria for an amazing brunch at Ornella Trattoria and we decided to walk our meal off in Long Island City.

I’m a born and bred Queens girl so I always enjoy exploring all of the different neighborhoods by wonderfully diverse borough has to offer. This is a great area to enjoy Manhattan’s skyline along with the cool Hudson breeze.

On this day, I decided to wear an all-white outfit similar to the one I wore to an all-white wedding during my most recent trip to New Orleans.

This great white dress is by Antonio Melani and I purchased it at Dillard’s Department Store.

I love the white lace panel featured in the center of the dress on the front along with the pleated shoulders.
I accessorized it with a thin black belt at the waist. Don’t you just love little white dresses in the Spring and Summer?

I’m carrying my Tory Burch faux snakeskin flap bag. This is a great little little purse for evening events or dancing. I love the silver hardware, including the sturdy chain. The chain also detaches to turn this bag into a clutch.

I bought this on-trend white Lucky Brand sandals at Macy’s in Herold Square. They add hight without discomfort thanks to the platform wedge. I also love the way the straps criss-cross on the foot.

The bracelet that I’m wearing in this outfit of the day post was a gift from my aunt. It’s made form Mexican silver and features beautiful flowers. My midi ring was purchased at the New Orleans French Market and my watch is my Marc Jacobs. My cris-crossed ring, stunning necklace and earrings are from my latest RocksBox deliver.
