Old Hollywood Glam

Dress: Stop Staring // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Necklace: Perry Street via RocksBox // Bracelet: Urban Gem via RocksBox // Makeup: Urban Decay, Kat Von D and Sephora

If you follow me on Instagram, you know I recently visited Los Angeles for a lovely weekend getaway.  We stayed at the Sportsmen’s Lodge, which is a pretty neat retro Hollywood-inspired hotel – a perfect setting for an Old Hollywood Outfit of the Day / Outfit of the Night shoot!
This amazing little black dress is by Stop Staring, one of my favorite vintage-reproduction companies. This dress is made of a stretchy material that hugs your curves and really flatters your shape.
Although this could look like a “simple black dress” from afar, it’s actually quite ornate. I absolutely love the sweetheart neckline with overlapping, ruched material at the bust. The capped sleeves are also a lovely feminine addition. My favorite detail of this dress is the little peep-hole at the waist. It’s such a great little eye-catching feature.

I’m also a big fan of this dress’ bottom. In addition to being a fitted skirt, its length is divine. I love when skirts fall below the knee. This bottom is proof that you don’t have to show a ton of skin to be sexy!

An Old Hollywood look deserves jewelry fit for the silver screen or the red carpet. This floral crystal necklace is by Perry Street. It’s an exquisite piece made exclusively for the RocksBox. The super trendy gold-toned geometric cuff is by Urban Gem. I received both of them in my latest RocksBox subscription. You can get a closer look at both of them in my RocksBox unboxing post here. Sign up using my exclusive code – DomesticatedMeBlogXoxo – and get your first month for FREE! After March 26th, the code will give you 50% off your first box.

To finish off my look, I added these black pertinent leather shoes by Christian Louboutin. These shoes add height in a comfortable way thanks to the support of the wedge. These are probably the most comfortable Loubs I own. I highly recommend them.

I brought my travel makeup essentials on this trip – the products I can easily carry around and still create great makeup looks. I’m wearing products from my Urban Decay Naked Basics palette and my Urban Decay Flushed Blush palette. I’m also wearing my favorite liquid liner – Tattoo Liner in Trooper by Kat Von D. And I never leave home without my Always Red Lip Stain by Sephora.
