Lady Godiva Program Honors Women

I had the honor and pleasure of attending Lady Godiva Program‘s Award Ceremony celebrating 3 inspirational women. The Lady Godiva Program supports women who personify the spirit of Lady  Godiva through their humanitarian efforts in the fields of Health Wellness and Hunger, Children Families and Poverty, and the Environment.

This year’s honorees included Erin Dinan for her work in Health, Wellness and Hunger. Through her non-profit organization, One Sandwich at a Time, Erin has fed homeless men, women and children in New York City. Stephanie Bowman, of One Heart for Women and Children, was recognized for her efforts in Children, Family and Poverty field. As a former homeless addict, Ms. Bowman recognized the need for support of needy families and individuals in central Florida. Thus her organization was born. Molly Rockman created an apprenticeship program called Earth Dance Farms, which educates future organic farmers and provides fresh produce to St. Louis residents.

In an unprecedented move, all three women walked away with the big honor of being named Lady Godiva’s Woman of the Year and each received $10,000 to help support their work. A big congratulations to them.

Below are a few photos taken at the event which took place inside the Rent the Runway‘s showroom at Henri Bendel.

Do you know of mad who embodies the spirit of Lady Godiva? Nominate her to be next year’s Lady Godiva Woman of the Year.
