A good way to jumpstart a healthier “diet” or eating habits is by doing a cleanse. This will help you get all of the toxins out and give you a clean slate for your new healthy lifestyle.
My most recent cleanse was the Dr. Oz 3 Day Detox Cleanse early this month. It consists of 3 drink recipes and supplemented with vitamins, probiotics and baths. The previous cleanses that I’ve done are usually longer than 3 days but I find that this is a good one for someone who is new to liquid cleanses.
The breakfast drink is fruity and the sweetest of the three drink recipes. It’s delicious and I’ve continued to make it regularly. It’s really a wonderful addition to any day-to-day diet. If you’re a rush-out-the-door morning person, this is a great meal to take on your way out.
The lunch drink was my least favorite of the three juices. I’m fine with drinks that more veggie heavy and not so sweet, but this one was not one of the best I’ve had. I think my main issue with this drink was the coconut oil. I am not a fan.
The dinner drink was definitely on the savory side thanks to the cayenne pepper in the recipe. I actually loved it. This drink was a bit fruity but the pepper added a wonderful kick to my palette. I’m not going to lie – I wished I could add a little vodka and a celery stalk in it like it was a Bloody Mary. But it was still very yummy.
If you’d like to give this cleanse a try, below are some items you’ll need that may be a bit difficult to find at your local grocery. Good luck!
