Fun on the Bayou

Dress: Calvin Klein via TJ Maxx // Shoes: Kensie // Bag: c/o Old Navy // Tights: Hue // Jewelry: Prima Donna // Watch: Michael Kors via Nordstrom Rack
If you follow my Instagram (please do!), you know I spent the last two weeks in New Orleans. I just love all of the scenic locations this city has to offer, like the Magnolia Bridge (pictured here). It is a pedestrian bridge that crosses Bayou St. John.

It’s such a pretty old bridge with views of some lovely homes in New Orleans [and a wonderful place for an Outfit of the Day post!].

I love black and white looks and this Calvin Klein dress illustrates exactly why. It’s always classic and oh-so-chic. You just can’t beat this color combination.

This beautiful sweater-dress is warm and very comfortable thanks to elasticity of the material. The fabric is perforated, allowing the white underneath to come through and create a polka dot-like pattern.

This dress also features figure-flattering white lines that run throughout the dress in strategically located places, creating the illusion of a longer and leaner body.Don’t you just love that!?

I love wearing this dress on cooler days. I added opaque HUE tights to help keep my legs warm while strolling through the NOLA breeze.

I’m also wearing one of my favorite pairs of Mary Janes. They are by Kensie and feature an adorable suede bow on the straps. The shoes are mainly patent leather but they also have suede heels. I just love the retro feel they have.

My crossbody bag is by Old Navy, Although it looks small, it can hold quite a bit thanks to its three separate compartments (two of which are zippered). It’s gold hardware go very well with my gold-toned chronograph watch by Michael Kors.

I’m once again wearing pieces from one of my favorite Prima Donna collections. It’s the Alta Moda set in gold. I’m wearing neutral makeup from my Everything Nice Holiday palette/set by Too Faced. I’m also wearing my favorite nail polish of the moment – Rouge Louboutin by Christian Louboutin.
