Cool Earth Tones

Top: Banana Republic // Skirt: Retrolicious via Poshmark // Coat: c/o Desigual // Shoes: Prima Donna // Hat: c/o Old Navy // Necklace: Urban Gem via Rocks Box

I love dressing in cool Earth tones. I’m sure you’ve seen me profess my love for olive green before and today’s Outfit of the Day is yet another example of how I love to use this color.

I’m wearing one of my favorite pieces for the Spring – a full midi skirt. This one is by a brand named Retrolicious and I purchased it on Poshmark. I’ve paired it with an olive green Banana Republic v-neck sweater. It’s the perfect color to add to this cool, earthy look. I literally topped this look off with a warm wool hat from Old Navy.

It’s still quite chilly in New York City so coats remain necessary. Luckily for us, the weather has been getting warmer so we no longer have to wear Polar Vortex outerwear. This stunning coat is by Desigual. There are so many interesting elements to this coat that it’s difficult to write about them all. The most prominent feature is the open chest encompassed by a thick, cozy wool collar. If it were some type of fur, it would totally look like an Old Hollywood piece. I also love the dark brown patches at the elbows. That’s actually one of my favorite garment embellishments.

I’m wearing one of favorite new additions to my shoe closet. They’re my Material Girl Studded Booties from Prima Donna. I love the color and the added edge that comes with the studs. You can purchase them in black here.

I’m also wearing a gorgeous Urban Gem necklace that I received in my latest Rocks Box delivery. If you’re not aware, Rocks Box is a low-cost subscription based jewelry curating company. You receive 3 pieces of jewelry based on your style and aesthetic with your subscription. You can wear them and decide to send them back or purchase your favorite pieces. When you return the pieces you don’t want to purchase, you’ll be sent another 3 pieces of jewelry in your next delivery. Find out more about Rock Box here.
