Poshmark App Review & My Closet

Dear fashionista,

Allow me to introduce you to my favorite iPhone app of the moment – if you don’t already know all about it, that is. It’s called Poshmark and it’s available on iTunes for your iPhone and iPad. It is an easy to use and navigate consignment store right on your phone!

It’s absolutely free to create an account and you can list as many items as you’d like. No fees for pictures, there’s no bidding, and you can set the prices at whatever amount you’d like. Poshmark will only take 20% of the final sale price and they will provide you with a $7 flat rate shipping label. The buyer actually pays for the $5 or $7 shipping cost.

What I really love about Poshmark is that it’s truly a fashionista social network. They have a feed (quite like Facebook and Twitter) so you can see what’s being listed as the day goes on. And these [mostly young in-the-know fashion crowd] users really know their stuff! I just love checking out the items that are posted everyday. You can find some incredible deals on luxury items as well as no-name brands. It’s very possible that you can buy an entire outfit for less than $50 – jewelry, shoes and all!

Poshmark hosts two hour “parties” based on a specific theme or brand (like “Polished Prep” or  “Vuitton, Gucci & Louboutin“). Anyone who has items for sale that fit these categories are free to post. And if you’re a shopper that is looking for items in these specific brands or categories, it’s all there laid out for you. When you create an account, you can choose whatever user name you’d like. Everything you list is then added to your “closet”. This is basically your public profile. Anyone who clicks on your user name will be taken to your closet where they can view all of the items you’ve listed.

I’m having so much fun looking at all the amazing goodies and selling some items of my own. If you’re like me, you own WAY TOO MUCH! This is the perfect opportunity for you to unload some of those pieces in your closet that you haven’t used in years or the items you regrettably purchased on an eBay on-line shopping stupor.

Sign up for a free account using the code HPXZL and automatically earn $5 in shopping credit. You can check out my closet by searching for my profile or clicking on this link: jessicayflores. If you don’t want to create an account or don’t own an Apple mobile product and would like to take a peek at some of the items I have in my closet, just take a look at my video above where I discuss Poshmark and show my top 3 favorite luxury items I’ve listed. Happy poshing!
